This statement explains the “Privacy Policy” followed in Dr. Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations. It is a document that states how the Foundation handles and processes the data of its users and entrants, and how members enrolled in any course or program offered by the Foundation can exercise their rights therein.

WHO WE ARE AND HOW TO CONTACT US

We are Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations, an individual organisation. The word “we” in this text refers to Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations.

We offer an open online learning platform for members who aspire to develop and build their families, communities, and nations. To achieve this, the acceded members’ information goes through several processes, starting with the process of collecting users’ information and determining the way it is collected, saved, and used.

We may sometimes need to engage third parties outside the Foundation to process some of the users’ information, and in most cases, these matters can be controlled within the scope of the employees of the Foundation.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU AND WHY DO WE COLLECT IT

Through the (Register an Account) for Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations to use our services, we will ask you to provide us with your (“Personal Information”). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Highest Level of Education Obtained
  • Gender
  • Country of Residence/Origin
  • Phone Number

  • Details of your assessments results and grades at Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations.
  • Records of creating Virtual Study Groups on Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations.

If you are a parent or a guardian creating an account for your child or an account for young women, the following (“Personal Information”) will be collected:

  • Name of Child or Name of Young Woman

  • Child or Young Woman Academic Grade

Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations shall not disclose the Child Personal Information to any third parties.

LEGAL BASIS FOR USING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When using Your Personal Information, we process it on the following bases:

  • Entering into a contract to which you the “Data Subject” are a party (including with regard to records detailing your learning progress, performance, and achievement for the purpose of keeping the Courses and Programs progress, and Certifications); and
  • For the legitimate interest of Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations, in carrying out the following activities.
  • Internal Research Purposes: For example, to improve course design and operation.
  • Research and Marketing Purposes (unless you decide not to participate upon registration or thereafter), including:

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

For EU users and users from other countries with data protection laws that require personal user information to be deleted after some time, Your Account Data will be automatically deleted after seven (7) years of inactivity.

The term “Inactivity” is defined as a lack of interaction with the course content. After seven (7) years of inactivity, we shall contact you with prior written notice of at least one (1) month, informing you that Your Personal Information will be deleted, and giving you the option to request that Your Personal Information be retained for another seven (7) years.

For users from all other countries, Your Account Data will be preserved at Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations until you send a request asking us to delete Your Information from the site. Then the information will be deleted.

Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations may shorten the retention period of Your Personal Information depending on: the amount, nature, and sensitivity of such information; the potential risks of harm from the unauthorised use or disclosure of Your Personal Information; the purposes for which we process Your Personal Information whether we can achieve those purposes through other means; and the applicable legal requirements.

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH

We may, from time to time, share Your Personal Information with the following parties for the purpose of improving Course Content and Marketing:

  • Mishkah Website Team
  • Internal Marketing Team
  • Internal Management Team
  • Third Parties we partner with for the purposes of creating, operating, or evaluating the Course (including teachers, teaching assistants, staff of organisations that partner with Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations for the purpose of a course you are enrolled in), and the marketing agencies we partner with for Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations specific marketing needs. All third parties who receive Personal Information from Kifah Abu Hanoud Foundation for Educational Consultations provided that they enter into a “Data Processing Agreement” stipulating that Your Personal Information shall be used only for the purposes they had assumed and that the third party shall delete Your Personal Information within ten (10) days of the termination or completion of their agreement.

We may also, from time to time, share Your Personal Information (anonymously) with external educational researchers for the purpose of conducting educational research.

PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices by clearly and prominently posting a notice of the update on our Services and to obtain your consent.

You agree and acknowledge that any updates shall take effect immediately upon the posting of updates to this Privacy Policy and apply to all information collected about you.

You agree to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Should we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, such changes will be reflected on the above “Latest Update” date.

YOUR RIGHTS AND EXERCISING OF YOUR RIGHTS

  • You - with certain exceptions - shall be entitled to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you. A reasonable, cost-based fee may be charged on any additional copies of such data.

You shall have the right to receive your copy of the data you have provided us via common online coordination and to provide copies of such information to other people if you wish so.

  • You - in some circumstances - shall have the right to delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • You - in some circumstances - shall also have the right to request temporary restrictions on how we process Your Personal Information, for example, if we are processing it on the basis of our legitimate interest, which makes you want to object or challenge our assessment that our interest is not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms.
